It is dry at present in Uverston but some heavy rain is imminent according to the Met Office. There is a possible chance of a thunderstorm, too.
Some old friends are visiting Ulverston, and they kindly called in to see me. It was a pleasure, and a very nice surprise, to see them again. Especially as they are both looking so fit and well.
I finished catching up on Line of Duty last evening. What a good series that was! I need to search for another good series to get my teeth into. Any suggestions?
It is the Festival of Transport this weekend in Barrow, as well as Cartmel Races if you fancy a little bet on a horses?
I hope you all enjoy, whatever you are doing, a nice weekend.

18th Jul 2025FRIDAY 18th July
A nice morning here in Ulverston. Dry and sunny, though a decline is forecast of rain, sometimes heavy, even thunderstorms are possible, in the next couple of days.
I had a nice day, yesterday, and I hope you all did, too. I had a friendly bowls match after work, and I won! 21-15!!!
It's the last day at school for the children. so there will be lots of celebrations, no doubt.
The Government are going to try and introduce a change in the election rules by reducing the voting age to 16/17. There is doubt to be a lot of discussion on such a subject. t that age they cannot vote or buy a pint of beer. What do you think?
