Cloudy and cooler this morning here in Ulverston. Might it become warmer as the day wears on? I hope so!
Everyone is hoping that the weather remains good for the next few days as it is teh Lonsdale Show on Wednesday at Lindal. Fingers crossed?
The pictures on the news last evening of the dreadful situation in Gaza is heartbreaking. Seeing the awful malnutrition olf innocent children is so terrible. The crowds of people with pans at the food distribution centres are screaming for some food. Something must be done without delay. I have heard the arguments between the opposing sides, but the starvation of innocent people and children is so wrong. This conflict has been going on for far too long.
I hope you all have a nice weekend.

24th Jul 2025THURSDAY 224th July
A beautiful, bright, and sunny day here in Ulverston!
I had Wednesday off so I got my boots on and walked up Hoad Hill via Gill Banks ( have you seen the abandoned Merc Sports car which is in a precarious position on the very edge of the steep decline to the beck??). ober GLan and up to the Hoad Monument. Quite a few folk out , enjoying the fresh air amd the fabulous views over the town, Moreca, mbe Bay, and the Lakeland mountains. Lovely! Back down through the churchyard and home again. Ready for a cup of refreshing tea and a slice of cake!
After lunch, a little ride out on the trike and when I returned, spent an hour or so, on the Poop Deck At about 4 got kitted up and off toWest Shore for a bowls match. The team lost 9-1. I lost 21-12. Rubbish! But it was a good game and we were up against a pretty formidable team.
