8th Jul 2025TUESDAY 8th July
Another beautifully sunny morning here in Ulverston! And the forecasters say we cn expect more sunshine and higher temperatures. Goody ! Goody!
I have seen on tv teh devastating floods in Texas. It showed a time-lapse of just 5 minutes and the river rose over 15 feet. Many people, including children from a summer camp, have been killed, and several more are missing. And more rain is expected.
Ulverston is looking very attractive due to the lovely flower displays adn the Umbrellas! Well done to all those who have initiated such.
I caught up with a couple more episodes of Line of Duty last evening. Great stuff. I had not seen this seies before. It is quite captivating. Good old iPlayer?

7th Jul 2025MONDAY 7th July
I hope you all had a nice weekend.
It is a lovely sunny morning here in Ulverston. A bit windy, but nothing to be concerned about.
It was the Ulverston Pride Festival on Saturday. The weather was not kind to them, I'm afraid.. But there was a good number of folk in town enjoying the music and the many stalls that lined the Market Place and New Market Street.
Sunday dawned bright and sunny, so I was up and about, not wanting to waste any of the day! I had breakfast in the Poop Deck. I got my washing done and hung it out to dry. I pottered around and then cleaned my lovely Merc, inside and out. I had a walk out to enhoy the fresh air , up Gill Banks. ALways a lovely walk.
I Hada Guinness at teh Old Friends and then joined friends for Cocktilas@5 at teh Fsrmers. Home in time to catch Tony Blackbjurn and then another couple of episodes of Line of Duty.
A nice weekend.
