13th May 2025TUESDAY 13th May
Another glorious, sunny, morning here in Ulverston! And there is more to come!
I had an excellent day yesterday putting on a p; property known as Micklewell Cottage, Gleaston. It is a great opportunity for someone who has the right skills and a few pounds, to create a lovely home.
I think that things are improving in the house sales department as I received further instructions to market more properties shortly.
Thursday will shortly be here, adn that is when I get my right eye lasered at Spa Medica in Kendal, so I am very excited about it all. Helen is friving me through. Later , n the evening it i the Heart of Ulverston Awards evening at the Coronation Hal, l to which I have been invited as a guest. It will be lovely, I am sure.

It was
Victory in Europe Day yesterday. 80 years since the suspension of hostilities. There was a small ceremony in Ulverston at the Market Cross, organised by the Royal British Legion, which was well attended.
I had a good day at work and had a Bowld Match against West Shore. I did well, but not well enough. I lost 21-19 against a very skilled and experienced player. The team lost 8-1, so not a good result. I was on first as I had another appointment at 7 pm with the Royal Society of St George. I got there 10 minutes late!. The meeting was good and successful.
Some good news yesterday came with the announcement that the Bank Rate had been reduced by a quarter of a percent. Good for my business, as mortgages should follow suit. shortly. Insight suggests that there will be further reductions in teh next few months. My fngers are crolssed!
