A sunny morning, though remaining quite cool. Warmer weather, however, is on its way which is good. to know.
I hope youa ll had a pleasant weekend> I certainly did. Just worked toll noon on Saturdtday then did a spot of weekend shopping beofre wathcjing some good racing on the box. STayed in for the evning, quite content.
On Sunday morning I helped Peter pit out all the Road Cosed ign boards, using , my Merc to haul the trailer, in readiness for the Mayoral Sunday event. Later in the afternoon did the job in reverse, of course. Hoe then W&P and met yp with Helen and David Care and Martin and Marissa for a Fathers Day drink in the Capaitola. And very pleasant meeting tool. I received lovely cards and gifts. What a rich man I am!
Home then and caught the last half hour of Tony Blackburn. Great music. I got HAPPY VALLEY on the oPLayer. What a great series that was. Watching further episodes tonight!!!

There has been a lot of thunder, lightning and torrential rain overnight and it is continuing right now. And yet more is to be expected. So if you are intending to go out today, please take good care, especially if you are driving as there will be flooded areas to contend with. And there are some IDIOT drivers around to make matters worse. Drive according to teh road conditions. That is the rule.

Today is a dreaded day for those who suffer from PARASKEVUDEKATATRAPHOBIA.

It was another lovely sunny day yesterday and the rain that was forecast didn't arrive until around 7ish. At that time, it was Bowling at Hwcoat Park in Barrow. Our team did well, securing a draw of 5-5. I won my match by the narrowest of margins. 21-20!!! Phew!
There has been a dreadful air crash in India with the aircraft coming down very shortly after takeoff adn killing all but one person on board and crashing into a densely populated are.
And more trouble in teh middle east with Israel attacking Iran.

A sunny and warm morning here in Ulverston. Perhaps a shower or two, later in the day but remaining very warm.
It was gloriously sunny and warm day yesterday, and it was my day off! Tippee!. I visited a couple olf olld friends, did some shopping, had an a ice cream at Vardsea, spent some tome oln the Ppiip Deck and last evening played bowls at West Mount in Barrow. Well beaten as I lost 21-8 the team lost 7-3. Poor result. Playing tonight at Hawcoat Park and hoping for a better result!!!!
It was teh Spending Review by the Chancellor yesterday. No comment!
